From Wednesday 26 August onwards into September, we are busily editing and uploading recorded On Demand content. Thanks for your patience, and we'll keep you informed as each is available and for how long.

The session will focus on how the Joy of Not Knowing (JONK) philosophy of education and
approach to teaching and learning, the curriculum and to all aspects of school leadership
equips students and adults with all the personal, emotional and academic dispositions that
enables them to embrace uncertainty and to thrive through challenge.

The session will describe how to introduce the students to the six stages of learning defined
by the JONK Model of Learning and how to then inspire every individual, from a very early
age, with the wonders of why it is so valuable to enjoy, rather than fear, not knowing,
embracing it as an integral and necessary component of thinking and learning.

The session will illustrate the value of launching the academic year with a dedicated JONK
Learning to Learn Week, during which the children are equipped with all the tools, strategies
and characteristics that ensures that they are all then able to succeed whenever they are
faced with uncertainty, when they are in a position of not knowing and when they find things
difficult or unexpectedly challenging during the year and then throughout their lives.
